While counting the score for best four subjects,  along with Phy, chem and math can I give preference to elective subject instead of English

Hello aspirant,

For counting the marks of best four you can leave English as it is important and according to the rule best four marks are calculated using English+ best 3 subject marks and then in most of the competitive exams you have to calculate percentage using the marks of all the subject or 5 subjects. So you have to take English while calculating the percentage.
