while filling the competitive exam goverment forms and coaching centre forms for these exams they ask percentage and marks for 10th and 12th what should i take total as top 5 or totall subjects ? or just the main subjects excluding the optional ?

Hi,
Usually, while filling government exam or coaching forms, you should enter the percentage exactly as mentioned on your official marksheet/result.
• If your board gives an overall percentage including all subjects → use that
• If only best 5/top 5 is officially mentioned by the board for percentage calculation → then use top 5
• Do not calculate only main subjects yourself unless the form specifically asks for PCM/PCB/main subject percentage
Always follow the method used by your board marksheet to avoid document verification issues.
