Who is eligible for Navodaya school ?

Hello there,

Students who meet the following criteria are eligible for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) admission:

1. Nationality : Must be an Indian citizen.
   
   
2. Class : Should be in Class 5 for admission into Class 6 (JNVST exam required).
   
   
3. Age : Must be 9 to 13 years old for Class 6 admission .
   
   
4. Education : Must be studying in a recognized school (Government or Government-aided) in the same district where they are applying.
   
   
5. Attempts : Can appear for the JNVST exam only once .
   
   
6. Rural Quota : At least 75% of seats are reserved for students from rural areas .

For Class 9 and 11 , lateral entry admissions are available through separate entrance tests.
