The first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh was Neelam Sanjiva Reddy . He was elected as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh in 1956. He served the office of Chief Minister for two consecutive terms.

Apart from this he played an important role in Indian Politics. He held many important positions in the cabinet.  He was also the sixth President of India.
