wht subject involved in ths course
Generally, you will have combination of subjects in Electronics and computer engineering like half the subjects from computer science and rest half from Electronics side.
So here are some subjects :
- Maths ( till 4th semester)
- English (Communicative & technical)
- Engineering graphics
- System programming
- Object oriented programming
- Python, C, C++ or java, etc..,
- Theory of computation
- Analysis and design of algorithms
- Semiconductor device
- Circuits and devices
- Signals and systems
- Micro processors, etc.., are some of the subjects.
So, it also depends on the college you choose to study. Not all the colleges will have same subjects, so whatever the title of the subject might be, the essence will remain same .

Wishing all sucesss !!
Out of the core ECE subjects,
- Semiconductors and Basic Electronics
- Analog Electronic circuits and Microelectronics
- Signals and Systems
- Digital Electronics and Logic Design(very important for GATE and other competitive exams as well as job interviews)
- Electromagnetic Theory and Transmission Lines
- Antennas and Radiation
- Microprocessors and Microcontrollers
- Digital Communication
- Digital Signal Processing
- Digital Image Processing
- RF Engineering
are the subjects which deserve importance. However, the following subjects from other branches of engineering also have crucial importance :
- Solid State Physics and Quantum Mechanics (support for Semiconductors and Basic Electronics) from Engineering Physics
- Circuit theory and networks( support for Analog Electronic Circuits) from Electrical Engineering
- Multivariable Calculus of real and complex variables, Partial Differential Equations(support for EM theory and antennas), Laplace and Fourier transforms(support for Signals and Systems, Digital Communications and Digital Signal Processing) from Engineering Mathematics
- Control Systems( I would place this subject in a list of top 5 most important subjects. Many questions in GATE and further competitive exams are from this subject)
- Programming languages, specially C and Data Structures
All in all, every subject has its own significance and there's a proper reason for the inclusion of those in the curriculum. They should be emphasized as well.
Hope this helps!
