Actually child birth is a delicate process. It needs to be handled with care. A machine can do all the things that a human can do but it cannot feel. It cannot understand what the patient is going through. A machine does the work and nothing else. A doctor understands the situation and acts accordingly. He knows when to pause and wait. And most importantly. A machine can only think what it has been taught to think. But it can never surpass human intelligence.

Still now it is not possible, But think of it think of the beauty of the mechanism of child birth which i don't think will be ever possible artificially

You asked if doctor can be replaced by machine to aid in the process of delivery. Yes it can be achieved through the technology called Artificial Intelligence powerd by Machine Learning.
This facility will be available some day but you will always need a doctor to control that machine.
