Placenta is temporary endocrine organ formed during pregnancy.Placenta secretes hormones such as human chorionic gonadotrophic (hCG), estrogen, progesterone and human placental lactogen. So, placenta is regarded as an endocrine tissue,placenta provides nutrition to the young one from the mother
