Why State merit lists are prepared for NEET
Dear Aspirant,
NEET admission is divided into two parts All India Quota and state level quota.Total of 15% seats in every government medical institute is kept reserved for 15% All India Quota. Candidates from any state can apply in these quota and get seat in medical college's all over India.
State level quota is for the particular state students. Candidates having domicile of the particular state are eligible to apply for 85% state level quota. These 85% seats at medical college's are reserved for only the state applicants.Therefore state merit list is prepared to allot seats in for these 85% state level quota at various institutes.
