Why the ranks of other aiims except aiims delhi decreases significantly?are they not good or not providing good Interships?

Subhash, there are various reasons due to which the new AIIMS, namely the ones located in Bhopal, Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar, Rishikesh, Raipur and Patna, all of which have been in operation for around five years now, are far behind in terms of ranking cut offs when compared to AIIMS New Delhi. While one would naturally assume the AIIMS name to carry a certain brand value, as of now, this is only deservedly bestowed upon AIIMS New Delhi, which in most medical aspirant circles is considered to be the best college in India for MBBS. In the case of the new AIIMS, many have struggled with various teething and development issues including infrastructure problems, staff shortage and most of all, an absence of validated results, and are only now beginning to establish themselves. This is not to say that they are bad, only that they are quite behind many established Goverment colleges and certain private medical colleges which have been in operation for many years now. For them to reach the same stature of AIIMS Delhi will easily take around a decade or so. Until then, while most top rankers of the NEET, JIPMER and AIIMS Entrance Exams will invariably opt for AIIMS New Delhi when given the choice, most others would opt for reputed Government medical colleges in different states over the new AIIMS, simply because they have results and a solid reputation to back them. Perhaps in a few years, the new AIIMS will also be on par with the Delhi one, but until then, the cut off acceptance ranks will continue to decrease because of other college options available to medical aspirants. Hope this answer helps!
