Why was seat allocated to me in josaa mock seat allocation rounds in open category when I've filled my category as gen ews?

The seat allocated to you in Josaa mock seat allocation round in open category when you have been filled your category as General EWS because it gives your seat according to the list of your filled choices. Josaa thinks there is no use General EWS category in the list of your filled choices. That's why I am suggesting you fill the choices wisely by checking the previous year cut off ranks. For your clarification, I will explain one example here.
Suppose your rank is 30000.
according to the previous year, XYZ college closing rank for general EWS category is 20000,
ABC college closing rank for open category is 35000.
If you fill the choices like this 1.ABC college 2. XYZ college, then definitely Josaa will give you the ABC college. So, think wisely while filling the college choices by checking the previous years closing ranks.
