Yes, you can get good government and private colleges with good board marks

It doesn't mean that you can get admission only on the basis of 12th marks. But your JEE score, your performance in the university tests etc are also the eligibility criteria. Whereas some colleges like VIT, SRM, Lovely Professional University, etc also give scholarship on the basis of your board percentage.
