Well it is completely based on how you excel in your studies in your 4 years of B.Tech And Its really not delightful situation as market is in declining stage and construction sector really seems to be steady or in slow process.
Looking toward Civil engineers being graduated every year and even IIT’s not able to provide job to entire batch, its really tough to find a job this days. On my personnel opinion, I will suggest you to register yourself in Online job websites with your proper resume uploaded if you are not selected through campus Placements.
You can also pursue local builders and join 4–6 months as a trainee to learn and gain practical knowledge. This will help you to crack off-campus interviews and other interviews that you are offered by online job portals
However don’t expect much in the beginning. You might get around 15–20k and if you are lucky ,you might get 25k. But I will strongly suggest you that don’t waste time and start actingDon’t trap into jobs not related to Civil like TCS, Infosys, Wipro etc .
This will block your progress in Construction sector.
You will get lot of opportunities in your journey, Just grab them and don’t let yourself down if you not have satisfied in beginning first 1–2 years.
Meanwhile learn software like Microsoft Project, Primevera, Auto-cad etc to get an edge over other employees
