Will it be worth to take admissions into new IIT's than the top 5 NIT's in-terms of research and placement as well?

Thank you for the question. First of all, it depends on whether you are there for the placements or for the knowledge.
If one prefers the New IITs ,
He/she is likely to get a great global exposure, a great placement package or deal, the type of crowd would be better also the infrastructure of IITs is better than NITs.
Now, if one prefers NITs ,
Then he/she is more likely to get a better education as the faculties in the top NITs are better than the new IITs.
