    No the list for preparatory students is released in the same JOSAA counselling. Even the closing ranks for programs which do reach preparatory rank status then they are prefixed with P. You just have to wait till the seventh round if you get a seat otherwise you will not be getting a seat this year as there is no special round conducted for the IITs.
