Cutoffs are totally unpredictable and depend on the performance of the students. If 90% of students get less marks, cutoffs will drop as the seats can't be left empty.

Similarly, if 90% of students perform very well, the cutoffs will shoot up as the seats would be less and deserving students would be more. In this case, there will be competition amongst candidates for even 1 or 2 marks.

So you should wait till your final rank is declared, as you can correctly know where you stand amongst rest and which colleges you can expect.

Would you mind telling me which college are you talking about? I can't specifically tell you about the cut offs till I know which course are you talking about but if I have to answer generally, then yes. The cut-offs are definitely different for different years. They maybe higher or lower depending on the number of peopel applying and their marks.
