Dear Isha,

Yes, You can apply for the entrance examination of JEE Advanced maximum two times in consecutive years after completing your 12th class.

So, you should apply in the same year or else you will loose your one chance.

If I wait for 1 year to give iit exam and in first attempt (that I give after waiting for 1 year) I don't do well can I still give exam for second chance??
