With 83 percentile marks can i secure any NIT?( i am OBC) Can you also suggest some suitable Government Colleges ?

According to the formula, [100-83*869010/100], your All India Rank is 147731 approximately. As you belong to the OBC category, your category rank will be around 60000 approximately. You haven't mentioned which branch you want to choose.

Here are the cut-off ranks of few NITs where you can apply with this rank:
1. NIT Manipur
2. NIT Arunachal Pradesh
3. NIT Srinagar
4. NIT Puducherry
5. NIT Goa
You can apply to these NITs only under HOME STATE QUOTA.

Some Government colleges where you can apply are as follows:
1. Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering and Technology
2. RCC Institute of Information Technology
3. Tezpur University

Please mention your home state to get more options of colleges. Also note that the cut-off rank changes every year depending on the difficulty of the paper,and the number of candidates appearing for it. I would suggest you to appear for the second phase exam, with a better preparation. Try scoring atleast 90 percentile to get good colleges.

Well it totally depend on your home state,and cutoff this year.

But being from OBC category you could definitely apply at some eastern NITs where you have slightly more chances.

As you have one more chance in September you could definitely try and improve your chances and get much better percentile and thus college.
