If you want to take admission in Anna University, then you would be appear in TANCET exam.
Candidate must have appeared for TANCET exam conducted by Anna University.
GATE qualified candidates in Engineering / Technology are exempted from TANCET exam though candidates who have a valid GATE score in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers should appear for TANCET also.
