Goodluck!
Hi Girish,
JIPMER PG, as you may know, is conducted for admissions to a total of around 100 seats across 19 MD courses and 5 MS courses. The exam is considered to be highly competitive with thousands of students battling it out for these seats.
If the JIPMER 2016 cut offs can be used as an indicator, then a rank of 5 in the OBC category will allow you to get a seat in almost all the courses. Under MD, you will qualify for Anaesthesiology, Community Medicine, General Medicine, Paediatrics and Pathology. Chances for Radio-diagnosis and Radiotherapy will be low though. Under MS, you will qualify for all the courses with such a rank.
Please note though that cut offs change from year to year depending on a number of factors. However, obtaining a top 5 rank in the OBC category definitely indicates a high chance of gaining admissions to the course of your choice at JIPMER.
I hope this helps. Good luck!
