    wwhy is material of low melting point chosen for fuse wire?

    Hello,

    Fuse wires must have low melting point. ... When there is increase in current, it causes the heating of fuse wire and fuse wire blows off thereby it breaks the circuit and protect the system. The low melting point causes blowing of the fuse wire at fault condition before it damage the equipment.
