hi,

you need to apply sri dhar acharyas formula, which is

ax^2+ bx+c=0 ,...........1

x=(-b+root over(b^2- 4ac))/2, (-b-root over(b^2- 4ac))/2 ............2

now comparing the equation 1 with your question you may get that

a=1, b=4, c=2

put the values on equation 2 you may get the answer.
