Y high ranked students are selected under OC category during law councelping
Greetings aspirant,
There are various quotas under Indian system, for example SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, OC, EWS among these physocally handicapped is another part. For all the given quotas there is a certain fixed percentage of seats alloted in each colleges. For every college there is certain number of fixed seats, hence these already decided percentage that I spoke about decides the number of seats alloted to those catagories in each college. That is why in some exams, there are general ranking as well as SC ranking, ST ranking and so on. As you might know unlike rest of the sections there`s no improvement in rank for general catagory students. This disbalance is normalised by the increased intake, although the number of seats reserved for open catagory are almost same as the rest.
Hope it helps.
Prepare well for exams as you already know, competition is growing almost exponentially.
Good luck for your future endeavours!
