Full stack development refers to the development of end-to-end software; this includes both the front and back end portions of web applications. The front-end incorporates the user interface whereas the back-end looks after business logic and application workflows. A full-stack developer is someone who holds knowledge of both front-end and back-end development along with database languages and frameworks. The job role of a full stack developer is quite tough at times, it prerequisites knowledge and experience of several other programming languages, technologies and frameworks.

Job role of Full-Stack Developers :

  • They code the most complex programs for all the three layers of application or website.
  • They troubleshoot any errors, if found in the different layers of the application or website.
  • They often coordinate with front-end, back-end and database developers.
  • They set up rigorous testing formats for programs/applications to have a handle on quality.
  • They address database queries and debug, if required.
  • They layout the roadmap for the future need of website/application

Higher salary

The salary of full stack developers is directly proportional to their skills set, experience, knowledge and responsibilities. Full-stack developers in India receive handsome salaries that range from Rs. 553,563 to RS. 1,400,000 per year. The salary range is also based on size of the company, location and several other factors.

Increased Scope of Work

Full stack developers’ scope of work is increasing day by day. Earlier, a developer would be assigned for a specific project or technology and would be focusing on that only. But now full-stack developers are expected to handle multiple tasks, they are required to work on multiple technologies and sometimes they have to switch between technologies to get things done more efficiently.

Becoming a full-stack developer is not a cake walk, it takes a lot of experience and knowledge. A good certification from an accredited source can give you a leg up, and it is more cost-effective than a regular four-year long degree program. Online certification can be completed in a fraction of the time and you do not need to take a break from your routine. To become a full-stack developer, one must have a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development.
