An Applicant provisionally selected for admission will be called for an interview with the Principal. The parent or guardian should be present at the time of interview. A call for the interview does not necessarily ensure admission. At the time of the interview, the candidate should produce all the relevant certificates in original.

• Applicants for the degree course should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (XII Std.,) under the 10 plus 2 pattern prevalent in Tamil Nadu or its equivalent from other Universities or Boards.
• Candidates, who pass the All India Senior School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, will be eligible for admission, provided they pass the examination with a minimum of five subjects of which English shall be compulsory. An applicant should provide an eligibility certificate, from the University of Madras at the time of interview.

• A pass in the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
• The upper age limit for admission to UG courses will be 21 years as on 1st July. Relaxation of 5 years is permitted for differently abled and 3 years for women students.
• Candidates from Boards other than Tamil Nadu State Board, CBSE, AISSCE, and ISCE must produce Eligibility Certificate from the University of Madras. All candidates who pass the Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu State Board by Private study and private candidates from CBSE or under the Open School System should also produce Eligibility Certificate.
