Admissions to the four-year B.Tech. Program in Computer Science and Engineering, of the Institute is based on merit assessed through transparent and reasonable criteria followed by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) which have been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate admission process of the Institute. UG admission in BCE for four years B.Tech. Course is made on the basis of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) main, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students have to appear in Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling (UGEAC) in order to seek admission to the first year B.E. / B. Tech. Courses based on the merit-list / Rank-List of JEE (Main).

Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.

The minimum academic qualification and Age for admission through an entrance Examination is a pass in the final examination of the Intermediate, 10+2 system or its equivalent. Those appearing in the Intermediate final or equivalent examination may also appear in the Entrance Examination for consideration of provisional admission.
