• A valid score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) are eligible to apply for admission.
• For admission to M.Tech. course under the regular/sponsored category, the concerned School shall adopt qualifying criteria for short-listing for interview/written test and prepare a merit list of selected candidates after interview/written test for all the categories.

Valid GATE score in EE/EC/IN/CS

Candidates who have qualified for the award of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or Institute in an appropriate discipline are eligible to apply for admission to the M.Tech. program. Candidates with M.Sc. degree from a recognized University or Institute in an appropriate discipline may also be eligible to apply for admission to the M.Tech. program. Exact eligibility criteria will be as prescribed in the regulations and approved by the senate of the Institute from time to time and announced by the Institute for admission in each year. The admission of the candidate is subject to approval by the Chairman, senate and this shall be reported to the senate.

• B.Tech., B.E. or B.Sc. (Engineering) at least 60% marks or at least 6.5/10 Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Valid GATE score in EE/EC/IN/CS  (i.e. Electrical Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Computer Science and Information Technology).
• B. Tech. from any of the IITs and CPI or CGPA 8/10 or above. Degree in the above-mentioned areas. The requirement of a valid GATE score is exempted.
