The University admits students to its Bachelors programmes from both formal and non-formal scheme. The non-formal stream consists of those students who have not cleared 10+2 or equivalent exam. To take admission to IGNOU’s degree programme they have to pass its Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme (BPP) first.

For General Candidates 50% in aggregate in any one of the qualifying examinations at least with one language plus three academic subjects. 

For OBC/EWS Candidates 45% in aggregate in any one of the qualifying examinations at least with one language plus three academic subjects. 

For SC/ST Candidates Minimum passing marks in any one of the qualifying examinations at least with one language plus three academic subjects. 

For PwBD Candidates 47.5% in aggregate in any one of the qualifying examinations at least with one language plus three academic subjects.
