The admission to First Year B.Tech Programmes will be made through the counselling conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University based on the merit of candidates in the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) except for Other State Nominees which are nominated by the Government of India.

Students who have cleared JEE Main may opt for the Institute through JEE Main counseling.

A candidate must have passed an intermediate exam. of U.P. Board or 10+2 level exam. or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University with minimum aggregate marks of 45% for General & OBC and 40% for SC/ST category in the subject groups, without grace marks

To avail, the seats of management quota student must have passed 10+2 examinations with physics, chemistry & mathematics with a minimum of 45% marks (for SC/ST 40%) and shall be eligible for the course.
