The Admission will be based on the JEE-Main Entrance Examination
Admission is based on AKTU Counselling (On the basis of JEE-Main Rank).
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have passed 10+2 with PCM and shall be eligible for the course.
AKTU Counselling (On the basis of JEE-Main Rank) - Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as a compulsory subject and one subject from Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject, as per latest norms of AICTE/AKTU.
Obtained at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the above subjects taken together.
OR
Passed 3 years of Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
B. Tech. (Lateral Entry to 2nd yr ) - Passed Minimum THREE years / TWO years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology (except Agriculture Engg., Pharmacy and Architecture) from the institution located in UP and recognized by BTEUP.
OR
Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject. Will be allotted if seats remain vacant after allotment to Diploma Students.
Mgmt Quota/ Vacant seats - Firstly, by the qualified candidates of JEE(Main), who fulfill the eligibility, their relative merit will be decided on their rank in the entrance examination. Thereafter, by the merit of candidates in qualifying examinations lay down by AICTE for admission to various programs which are updated from time to time.
B. Tech. (Lateral Entry to 2nd yr ) - Firstly, by the qualified candidates of CUET, who fulfill the eligibility, Thereafter, by the merit of candidates who have passed the qualifying examination securing minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST)
