Admission Details
Admission to the B. Tech degree programmes of NIT Calicut is based on the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) - Paper 1 and Paper 2 respectively. For information on JEE (Main).
Admission to the Under Graduate programmes is based on entrance examination conducted by the commissioner of entrance examinations, Govt of Kerala. Out of total seats , 15% is admitted under Management Quota and 10% is under NRI Quota. Candidate will have to fulfill the basic requirements of admission, as stipulated by the University regulations.
Eligibility Criteria
Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
Candidates with a pass in the Plus – Two Examination of Kerala Higher Secondary Board or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto, securing a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission.
