Students who wish to seek admission to CMRIT’s Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme may do so through (1) Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) and Selection Process or (2) Management Admission Process.

This test is a requirement for admission to colleges affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. Students must have BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree OR students must have passed B. Sc./ B. Com/ B. A. with Mathematics at 10+ 2 level or at Graduation Level (with additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the University).

Students must have 50% or more (rounding-off aggregate percent is not permitted) aggregate in the qualifying examination. However, in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category-1, the aggregate percentage of marks shall be 45% or more (rounding-off aggregate percent is not permitted).

Admission to M.C.A. programmes shall be open to candidates who have passed the relevant  Bachelor’s Degree with not less than 50% aggregate marks. (45% for SC/ST candidates belonging to Karnataka). The candidate must have also taken at least one of the  prescribed  Entrance exams as specified in the Admission process below.
