• A candidate who has passed any undergraduate degree examination with 50 % aggregate marks and 50% of marks in the cognate subject (Physics) from any recognized University in India or abroad recognized by UGC / AIU are eligible to apply.
• Applicants who are in the final year of their studies should have secured 50% or above aggregate in all the Semesters / Years of Undergraduate Examinations conducted so far and 50% of marks in the cognate subject. Students appearing for their final degree examinations is also eligible to apply.

Pass in B Sc examination of Mangalore University or equivalent with Physics as a Major / Optional / Special subject, provided they have studied Mathematics as a Major/ Optional/ Special/ Minor/ Subsidiary subject for at least two years and secured a minimum of 45% (40 for SC/ST/Category-I candidates) marks in Physics / Mathematics.
