Students need to appear in an entrance test conducted by the various states' independent educational bodies and Universities for admission in various teaching institutions attached to it according to the rank of the candidate in the entrance exam.

Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the state government/U.T. Administration and the university.

The Minimum Qualification required for entry into B.Ed. course is Bachelor of Arts(B.A), Bachelor of Science(B.Sc.) Bachelor of Commerce(B.Com.) from a recognised board/university with at least 50% marks.

Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in sciences/social sciences/humanity, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
