• Of the sanctioned intake in a specialization 70% seats are called CATEGORY - A seats and remaining 30% seats are called CATEGORY - B seats or Management Quota seats.
• The Convener of EAMCET admits CATEGORY - A seats on merit secured in Intermediate or an equivalent examination and the rank secured in EAMCET.
• Admission to CATEGORY - B seats are done by the college management following the guidelines of Government of Andhra Pradesh (APSCHE).

Admission is done through National level entrance examination (SRMJEEE) conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology or authorized /statutory boards or agencies. In addition to the above, the eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination.

Any Candidate qualified in IIT JEE Main will be admitted directly even if the candidate doesn't take SRMJEEE.

A candidate should possess the eligibility of 10+2 qualification from Board of Intermediate, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as his/her optional subjects, or any other equivalent examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

The candidate should have Passed in Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern) with 60% marks or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ICSE, Matriculation, or NIOS.
