For taking Admission in Engineering Institute in Chhattisgarh, the Pre-Engineering Test (PET) entrance exam is compulsory. The State-level common entrance test conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur, for the purpose of determining the merit list for admission to B.Tech. courses. Also, JEE entrance marks will be accepted.

Admissions to B.Tech. programs are based on scores obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains), conducted by the National Testing Agency.

Lateral entry into the 2nd year (10% of total intake) is allowed through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG).

For admission to regular degree courses in engineering :

• Passing the 12th through the (10+2) education system of the Board of Secondary Education, Chhattisgarh, or any recognized board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the subjects as Chemistry subject is essential.
• Passing cumulatively in all three main subjects, i.e., Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry, with a minimum of 45% marks for the UR category and 40% marks for the SC, ST, OBC category, and PWD candidates of Chhattisgarh is essential.
• Lateral Entry in B.Tech
• Candidates having a 3-year Diploma in the concerned discipline with 50% marks from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi-recognized institutions are eligible for admission in the respective branches directly to the 2nd year (3rd semester) of B.Tech. programme.

A Candidate who has passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and shall be eligible for the course.
