For taking Admission to Engineering Institute in Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test (PET) entrance exam is compulsory. the State level common entrance test conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur, to determine the merit list for admission to B.Tech. courses. Also, JEE entrance marks will be accepted.

Students are admitted to the Undergraduate B.Tech. Program in the disciplines of Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Mining Engineering through a valid score obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Mains) conducted by the National Testing Agency. Lateral entry to the second year of all four engineering programs (on 10% intake of total seats) is also provided through a valid score obtained in the Common University Entrance Test, CUET (UG).

For admission to regular degree courses in engineering :

• Passing the 12th through (10+2) education system of the Board of Secondary Education, Chhattisgarh, or any recognized board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects as Chemistry subject is essential.
• Passing cumulatively in all three main subjects i.e. Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry subject with a minimum of 45% marks for UR category and 40% marks for SC, ST, OBC category, and PWD candidate of Chhattisgarh is essential.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
