    1. Admission to the courses in CUIET are regulated on the basis of orders/instructions of Govt. of Kerala from time to time.

    2. The percentage of seats to be filled by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination, Kerala and the management will be as per the decision of the University and Govt. of Kerala. At present 95% of the seats are on a merit basis and are filled through the Centralized Allotment Process by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Govt. of Kerala.

    Admission is made as per the rank obtained by eligible candidates in the state-level Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala State. 90% of the seats in the Colleges under CAPE will be allotted by the CEE as per the reservation policy of the Government. Also, 5% of seats reserved for the co-operative sector are also allotted by the CEE on a merit basis, and 5% N.R.I seat is filled by CAPE based on rank.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50 % marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility.

    • The Candidate shall have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Class XII) of the Board of Higher Secondary Education. Govt. of Kerala with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as subjects or any other examinations accepted as equivalent thereto by the Kerala Technological University (KTU).
    • The Candidate shall have secured a minimum of 50% marks for Mathematics as well as for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together.
    • In the case of candidates belonging to socially and educationally backward classes (referred to in G.O (P)208/66/Edn. Dated 2.5.1966, as amended from time to time) the minimum marks requirements are 45% for mathematics and 45% for mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
    • In the case of SC/ST students, only a pass in the Higher Secondary Examination (Class XII) with the above subjects.
    • The candidates shall also satisfy the conditions regarding physical fitness as may be prescribed by the University.

    Lateral Entry

    • Passed a minimum of THREE years / TWO years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (5% relaxation for the SC/ST students) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology.

    OR

    • Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (5% relaxation for the SC/ST students) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

    • Passed B.Voc/3-year D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.
