Admission to B.Tech first year in Ist semester will be made as per the rules prescribed by the Academic Council of the A.K.Technical University, Lucknow. Admission on the migration of a candidate from any other University to the University is not permitted.

The admission to First Year B.Tech Programmes will be made through the counselling conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University based on the merit of candidates in the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) except for Other State Nominees which are nominated by the Government of India.

For admission to first year B.Tech candidate must have clearly passed without grace, intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized board/university, securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC /ST category candidates) ) in compulsory subjects i.e. Physics and Mathematics and one of the optional subjects taken together are eligible for admission to the first year of 4 years B.Tech. Courses.

A candidate must have passed an intermediate exam. of U.P. Board or 10+2 level exam. or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University with minimum aggregate marks of 45% for General & OBC and 40% for SC/ST category in the subject groups, without grace marks
