All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized or established by Central/State Government through legislation with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects:-

If the seats of B.Tech. (Bio-Technology) remain vacant after the central counseling the seat may be filled with the candidates having the following qualification also:-

10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects:-
1. Mathematics
2. Biotechnology
3. Biology
4. Computer Science / Technical Vocational Subject
OR
Those candidates who have passed diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET), or any such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education.
OR
The candidates who have passed two years certificate courses from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects. An applicant should have secured at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST) in the above subjects taken together.
