• Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow conducts an entrance examination for 85% seats.The candidates are allotted branches on the basis of their merit through counselling conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.
• For 15% seats candidates can apply for direct admission to the RKGIT. Admission will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in qualifying exam and /or respective entrance exam as per the policies of the University.

1st Year : Passed 10+2 Examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. Admission will be according to JEE ranking.

2nd Year (LEET): Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category candidate) in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology or passed B Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category candidate). Admission will be according to LEET ranking.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

• Should be a pass in 10+2 examination from recognized Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects:
  • Chemistry
  • Computer Science
• Obtained at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidate belonging to SC category) in the above subjects taken together for B.E/B.Tech
