The admission is based on the rank obtained in the state-level entrance examination-TSEAMCET.
Admission Into First Year B.Tech Degree program
(a) Category A seats (70%) are filled by the Convener, EAMCET.
(b) Category B seats (30%) are filled by the Management as per the guidelines framed by theTSHEC and a notification in this regard will be issued in all leading newspapers.
(c) Spot Admissions are filled with unfilled seats in Convener quota as per the guidelines framed by theTSHEC and a notification in this regard will be issued in all leading newspapers.
Admission into the second year of four-year B.Tech degree programme
A candidate seeking admission under lateral entry into the III semester B.Tech degree Programme should have passed the qualifying exam (B.Sc. Mathematics & Diploma holders), based on the rank secured by the candidate at Engineering Common Entrance Test ECET (FDH) in accordance with the instructions received from the Convener, ECET and Government of Telangana.
Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
Convener Quota
Should qualify in EAMCET conducted by TSHEC and pass in Intermediate or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with 44.5% and above [for OC candidates] with 39.5% and above [for BC/SC/ST candidates] in group subjects.
Management Quota
A pass in Intermediate or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with 45% and above [for OC candidates] with 39.5% and above [for BC/SC/ST candidates] in group subjects or qualify in EAMCET conducted by TSHEC.
