Admissions are made on the basis of merit through the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEE) or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), New Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must have passed class-XII (10+2) examination with combination of any three subjects; with physics and/or Mathematics as compulsory subject(s) along with Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship from any recognized board/university.
Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) individually in each of the three subjects mentioned above.
OR
Candidate must have passed minimum 3 years/ 2 years Diploma examination in engineering & technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates from reserved category) from AICTE approved Institution/UGC recognized University, subject to vacancies in the B.Tech. First Year provided the vacancies for lateral entry are exhausted.
Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with minimum 45% marks in aggregate of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science/ Electronics / Information Technology / Informatics Practieces/ Biotechnolgy/ Technical Vocational Subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship, taken together (40% for reserve candidates.
