The seats shall be filled either based on rank obtained in EAMCET or on securing not less than 50% in aggregate or group subjects (Maths, Physics, and Chemistry) in the 10+2 qualifying examination.

70% of the seats are allotted by the Convener, based on merit in the EAPCET (A-Category).

30% of the seats are earmarked for NRI/Management candidates (B-Category).

In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted into the second year of B. Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on merit in the ECET, under the lateral entry scheme.

• A Candidate should have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry group subjects
• Any other Examinations equal to Intermediate Recognized by the university
• They have to qualify in the EAMCET Conducted by the Govt of A.P.
• The department provides necessary training to impart employability skills to its students.
• The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the AP Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.

The minimum qualification for admission into B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10+2) conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, or any other examination recognized as equivalent to Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects.
