Admission Details
Admission is strictly based on the rank of students in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) / AIEEE examinations.
Valid score/Rank in WBJEE / JEE Main of the current year; For Decentralized Monitored Counseling (against drop out vacancy) conditions remain same except Entrance Rank which is not mandatory (preference will be given to Rank holders).
Eligibility Criteria
For Admission to first-year bachelor program in Engineering/Technology:
Passed 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Geology / Statistics. The candidate should have passed individual subjects and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
For admission to second-year Engineering/Technology under Lateral Entry:
Passed in diploma examination in Engineering / Technology from the State Council of Technical Education and Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha, or equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology for direct admission to the third-semester degree courses in Engineering / Technology.
For admission to second-year Engineering/Technology under Lateral Entry for B.Sc. / +3 Sc. students:
Passed in Bachelor’s Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Odisha or equivalent from a recognized University as defined by UGC, at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in aggregate in the qualifying examination and must have passed 12th standard with Mathematics as a subject.
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subject, having a valid rank in WBJEE/JEE (Mains).
Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
Lateral Entry- Passed Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology, having a valid rank in WBJELET.
Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.
Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall clear the subjects Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the First Year Engineering Programme along with the Second year subjects.
Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
