• Students who appeared in Entrance Exams like KEA, COMEDK, JEE Mains, etc., will be given preference.

Candidates who have passed Class 12 in India, fall under General Category. Admission to Engineering program under General Category is based on merit in the All India Entrance Test - NUCAT (Nitte University Common Admission Test).

The Candidates shall have passed Pre-University or XII standard or equivalent examinations held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Biology / Bio-Technology, and have secured not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the Languages for admissions to Engineering & Technology courses or as revised by the All India Council for Technical Education from time to time.

• A pass in the 12th standard or equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks as an aggregate in the optional subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computers/Electronics, with English being one of the languages of study. 
• The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
