Students are admitted to the Undergraduate B.Tech. Program in the disciplines of Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Mining Engineering through a valid score obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Mains) conducted by the National Testing Agency. Lateral entry to the second year of all four engineering programs (on 10% intake of total seats) is also provided through a valid score obtained in the Common University Entrance Test, CUET (UG).

Admission to B.Tech first year and will be carried out through JEE Main

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination (10+2) of the Board of Intermediate Education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as subjects.
