Admission Based on the Marks in the Qualifying Examinations.

The admission to UG programmes is purely based on the marks obtained in the Higher Secondary examinations. The admission of students to all the programmes is through a Single Window Admission System, administered by Anna University. The higher secondary marks are scaled to 200, based on which the merit list/ ranks are released. Counselling is conducted based upon the ranking.

For Part-Time- Admission forms, applicable only to ACT, MIT and CEG. are released online in the website in the month of October. Rank lists based upon the diploma score are hence released and counselling is conducted based upon the ranking.

A candidate who has passed Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Applied Microbiology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or M.B.B.S, BDS, BVSc. of this University or an examination of other Indian or foreign Universities accepted by the syndicate as equivalent thereto.

A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together as given below.

• Backward Class including Backward Class Muslim- 45.00 %
• MBC & DNC- 40.00 %
• SC/SCA/ST- 40.00 %

A pass in any one of the HSC (Vocational Subject) as given below with any one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a minimum average percentage put together as given below.

• MBC & DNC- 40.00 %
• SC/SCA/ST-  40.00 %

For Part-Time- Completion of the Diploma with a minimum number of 2 gap years.
