• Admission will be based on meeting the eligibility conditions listed and the performance in the qualifying examination i.e., SRMJEEE / SRMAPET.
• The students seeking admission in these two CSE specialisations (Software Product Engineering & AI & Future Technologies) would have to go through two additional rounds of selection. The admission will be on the basis of the SRMJEEE Rank, the performance in the written exam and the interview conducted.
  • The student should have obtained SRMJEEE within the cut-off rank for the CSE department
  • The student should have cleared the written exam and was shortlisted for interview
  • The student should have been selected for admission to the interview.

Students shortlisted through SRMJEEE rank, written exams and interviews could opt for one of the two CSE specialisations (Software Product Engineering & AI & Future Technologies) offered. The written exam is for shortlisting students, and admission is based on interviews.

• The decision of the admission committee will be final and binding.

Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2026 should have either completed or shall be appearing in any one of the following qualifying examinations in 2026

• The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or any other Board accepted by VIT as equivalent to 10+2 examination.
• Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
• General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
• High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University/Pearson Edexcel regulated by UK For PCM : Physics & Mathematics - A Level/ Chemistry - A/AS Level and English - A/AS Level For PCB : Physics & Biology - A Level/ Chemistry - A/AS Level and English - A/AS Level
• High School Certificate Examination of the International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

i) For PCM : Physics & Mathematics - HL, Chemistry - SL/HL

ii) For PCB : Physics & Biology - HL, Chemistry - SL/HL

• Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by central board.
• Applicants who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India should produce an equivalence certificate to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination with grade/CGPA converted to percentage.

i) Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply. Candidates who have appeared for multiple board examinations in the same academic year are not eligible.

ii) For Indian nationals attending VITEEE 2026 is mandatory to be eligible for B.Tech. admission.

ii) In case VITEEE 2026 gets cancelled due to natural calamities or causes beyond the control of the institute, qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks. Applicants shall be informed accordingly.

A. Nationality and Age

• Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by the Government of India are eligible to apply for SRMJEEE (UG).
  Note: NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI card issued by the Government of India who has not taken the SRMJEEE (UG), must apply under the international student category only.
• Students should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st of July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held.

B. Eligibility to apply for the Qualifying Examination:

• A minimum aggregate score of 60% or equivalent grade point in Class X.
• Passed with Minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent grade in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics in 12th Standard/Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern ) /Intermediate (first and second year) or appearing in 12th Standard/Higher Secondary examination(10+2 pattern)/Intermediate in the current academic year with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subjects, Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS are eligible to apply. However, admission is confirmed based on meeting the minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent grade in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics in 12th Standard/Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern) /Intermediate (first and second year).
• GCE A-Level: Minimum C grade in Physics and Mathematics and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics. Physics and Mathematics should be compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics as major subjects (equivalent to Advanced Placement level in each subject) in any international schools within India.
• International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma or IB certificate: Minimum 4 points each in Physics and Mathematics and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics.
• 2 subjects in HL (equivalent to Advanced Placement level or Honors) and 1 subject in SL is mandatory.

• The applicant should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO / OCI.
• NRI applicants can directly apply under ‘NRI Category’ through the NRI application form.
• Foreign applicants who have studied/are studying abroad can apply directly through the International application form.
• Applicants whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2004 are eligible to apply for admission into Engineering in the academic year 2026.
• The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.
• Applicants should produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counselling/admission, failing which their candidacy for admission will be cancelled.
