As per the eligibility to take admission in cusat of navalArchitecture and ship buliding course 

You need to pass in 12th or equivalent with PCM with English.with minimum aggregate marks.

And you have to appear in CAT exam syllabus is same as jee after according to your rank

Students can also refer to NCERt books for MCQ across PCM subjects which is very helpful and covers various level kf questions which can be asked.

See the University is a well known one and is renowned. However rankings are always overall and not as per the specific branches. What I suggest is to check the student reviews for the same, the syllabus being taught during the course and placement statistics which is what matters most

Actually cutoff of any exam depends upon the some factor like how many students are appearing and what is level of toughness .and on this factor rank of students decides .but previous year cutoff rank of CUSAT was around 2k-4.5.thanks 

Cutoff a sper 2018 in CUSAt Ernakulam was 1581 rank for fire safety engineering under General category. However this shall vary under all categories .

I am not sure I understand your question but are you asking if you can attempt JEE Main without class 12? Not really as that is the eligibility. So diploma candidates will have to write JEE Main to appear for JEE Advanced but they cannot apply for admissions to NITs

YES. CUSAT started offering 5 year integrated BS-MS Courses in physics , Chemistry, Mathematics and Statistics from the year 2018. You can also end  the course after 3rd year with a B sc degree if you want to go somewhere else for post graduation.
