But if you got 178 marks in CUSAT CAT(Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test ) then according to the previous year, your rank will be around 5000-7000.

I cannot predict your exact rank here, however, I can tell you this than 250 marks is a pretty average score. To get into Naval Architecture you need to score above way above 250.
