Hello Aspirant,
If your registered on June 6 and have paid your 1200 registration fee for PES University BTech Admission, but you did not upload your JEE Main score and you did not write the KCET exam, your options for admission through the regular counseling options for direct admission to CSE are limited. Nonetheless, PES university also offers Management Quota (PESSAT Direct Admission) seats, you may get in touch with the admissions office and see if there are any more, CSE seats available under this quota, as they fill up fast
Hello Maruthi,
Yes, you have a decent possibility of securing a seat in Computer Science Engineering with a KCET rank of 77,100 under the ST category in some government or private colleges in Karnataka - especially the rural and newer institutions. This is under the assumption that you would likely not get into the top tier of colleges with such a rank. Using the KCET option entry portal and practicing mock allotments will allow you to be more strategic. KCET College Predictor 2025
Hello Akshaya,
If you're in Clause C in KCET - as you have undergone the document verification, you will probably first receive a verification slip without the secret key code. The secret key (also referred to as secret code) is generally sent to you via SMS/email later by KEA shortly after verification but before option entry begins.
You do not have to upload any separate document specifically for the secret code. Just keep your mobile number + Email ID active from your KCET application. You could also check the official site regularly if they provide any updates on further information on the secret codes in your messages.
With a KCET rank of around 77,100, getting Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in top government colleges will be tough, as CSE is highly competitive. But you can secure seats in government colleges not too popular or in private colleges which also provide CSE. Colleges like Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) affiliated private colleges or other private engineering institutes in Karnataka could be options. The safest thing to do is enrol in counselling, fill options of good private colleges, and have the backup branches in place, just in case. Focus on colleges with decent infrastructure and faculty for a good learning experience!
With KCET rank 1,27,000, you won’t get CSE/ECE in SIT Tumkur.
May get: Civil, Mechanical, or Biotechnology
CSE/ISE not possible
Let me know your category for better options.
For B.Sc. Agriculture at Mandya Agriculture College (KCET 2025):

Hi dear candidate,
Getting a top tier college at the rank of 144299 in KCET exam is difficult like RVCE Bangalore, PES University, BMS College etc.
But it's not like you will not get any college at all, the top tier colleges are between the rank of 2,000 to 10,000. Rest for the rank above 1,00,000 Reva University, RNS Institute, BMS Institute etc. should be available to you.

Hello aspirant
Yes, BSc Bioinformatics is offered by several Karnataka colleges through KCET, and admission depends on your aggregate score and KCET rank.
To be eligible, you need to have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and scored at least 50 percent marks (45 percent in case of SC/ST) in these subjects combined.
In terms of KCET rank, seats for BSc Bioinformatics usually fill up fast as it's a popular course. Based on trends, a KCET rank between 5,000 and 20,000 (overall) could help you secure admission in reputable colleges through general category quota. Reserved category quotas may allow slightly higher ranks.
If you're confident of achieving around that rank, you'll likely have a good chance. Otherwise, you can also consider colleges that admit based on merit without KCET, which usually require the same 50 percent in biology, chemistry and physics.
Hope this helps!
